long time since I posted. I’ve a neck injury. Cervical spine herniated disk. Anyone have experience with this and what mobility and/or weightlifting exercises did you do?

I had a similar injury. My neurosurgeon said I didn’t need surgery, but got me some medication, and lots of PT. it was 3 months of straight physical therapy and nothing else. And slowly I got back into the swing of things. It took probably a year to get fully back, and that was 5 years ago. I will tell you that my days of trying to lift super heavy are over. I’ll pick more reps over higher weight now because I do not want to risk it again. Even now lifting a lot of weight overhead is a bad idea. But I work out and I’m plenty strong for the life I want to live. And my muscle development hasn’t suffered. Sorry about the injury! It sucks.
