I take whey 30 minute before my training as it takes 60-90 minutes to absorb. About the time i finish my workout. I do this specifically for recovery aid.
Re. MPS; protein should be consumed every 3-4 hours during the day.


To maintain/retain muscle. Theres not specific time; just be sure to hit your protein macro for the day.
Honestly, the differences are very little. Focus on your total daily intake, not specific meal timing. So my answer would be, whenever it suits you best.
