She's just 5ft 3ins tall, but pocket powerhouse Marlys Valdes Quintana has massive 17.5 inch biceps, an unbelievable 57 inch chest and she benches 310lbs!

The South American sensation is already the strongest woman in her home country of Chile and with her single-minded determination to continue to get bigger and stronger she is well on her way to her goal of becoming the world's strongest woman.

Powerlifter Marlys boasts a tally of jaw-dropping lifts which include:

Squat: 180kg (397lbs)

Bench: 140kg (309lbs)

DB shoulder press: 110kg (242lbs)

Bicep curl: 80kg (176.5lbs)

That's a 242lb dumbbell shoulder press – the weight of two average-sized women!

That amazing power comes from Marlys' massively muscular physique. She is one built 31-year-old!

Her huge chest stretches the tape at 57ins – that's just three inches shy of Arnold Schwarzenegger's chest when he won his first Mr Olympia title.

Her bulging biceps measure 17.5ins cold, putting them on a par with an elite few of the world's biggest female bodybuilders.

Marlys Valdes Quintana works as a personal trainer and has been lifting for nine years.

Her philosophy is refreshingly simple. She says: “I just love the feeling of strength I get from lifting, and knowing I am getting even stronger.

“It started off because I just loved the sport but now I aim to be the best powerlifter in the world.”

How many years have you trained? 9 years

How and why did you start? I like the sports

What is your dream? Some day are the better powerlifter of the world

What is your short term goal right now? Powerlifting

Have you competed or do you plan to ? I am Chile's strongest woman

What keeps you motivated? Myself

What do you love most about bodybuilding? I am powerlifter not a  bodybuilder!

And what do you hate the most? Nothing, I respect it all

What is the biggest thrill or moment you have got from bodybuilding? Simply that I feel strong.

Training

How often do you train? I train my self.  I am personal trainer so I train most days.

What really works for you? Training hard with weight. I love to lift heavy, always.

Favorite bodypart to train and why? Dead lift because 200kg is easy for me! I love to feel the strength of my body and feel that I am getting stronger all the time.

Biggest improvement in last 12 months? All of my body. I train for strength always.

What tips would you give to newbies? Train heavy, train hard. Don't smoke and don't drink alcohol and eat good

Any training secrets or amazing exercises which have worked for you? Be strong and use the heaviest weight you can in all exercises and , eat good, and other secret but i cant speak about
