Weight loss : How do you reach your goals?

Weight loss : How do you reach your goals?
How do you reach your goals? You have to put in the work, be disciplined, and stay consistent.  Get rid of the excuses  because there is always one if you want one.  I know, been there, done that.  It's not a perfect journey and it is your journey.  I recommend creating a schedule/routine for yourself.  Plan out your day.  This way as you get things done on your list, you start feeling accomplished. It will start feeling more natural when you start doing it.  Schedule your workouts, schedule your meal preps, just like you would schedule work meetings or taking your kids to practice.  It will help you create new habits.

I lost 130 lbs in about a year and a half and have been maintaining over 2 years now.  I didn't do keto, I love bread.  I didn't count calories, I don't have the patience for that.  I ate overall pretty good and tried to stay away from processed foods for the most part, they only made me hungrier.  I walked 4 miles, five days a week. I worked up to that.  I always workout fasted.  I ate some kind of dessert everyday.   My window while i was losing was between 2-7 pm I would have two meals and no snacking.  I would do extended fast here and there.  Now I change up my window depending on my day.  Find out what works for you.  Everyone is different.  If you search my name in this group most of my journey is in here.

So as we all start a new year and set new goals, be realistic and have a plan of how you are going to achieve those goals.  Break it down into steps.  Trying to conquer a mountain all at once can seem overwhelming.  So break it down weekly or monthly. Do whatever works for you and what you can stick with.

Key components that I have found on my journey are drink lots of water.  To me water is super important.   Get moving- walking is such a great exercise.  Also, you tube has videos on anything you would want to do.  Pick something that you will stick with. Don't look at exercise as a chore because then you will never want to do it.   Pick an eating window that works for you.  Get a good night's rest.  Sleep is also important.  Get a good amount of protein at every meal.  It will help you feel fuller longer and your muscles need the protein.

Self love and self care is not selfish.  It's necessary.  Skies the limit!  You are stronger and more capable probably than you could ever imagine.  Believe in everything you want, the power is YOU!   Everything you need, you already have inside you.  Tap into that inner strength and watch your world change.  You got  this!  I know you can do it.  So let's bring on 2023 and make it the best year yet.
