Little back story. In 2021 I was 205 pounds. Red dress is last October, 2022. I got down to 155 my goal weight. Very happy with myself. I was going to the gym 3 days a week. Fast forward to yesterday (brown dress) here I am 167. I gained some weight after stopping the gym and eating slightly poorly. I’m taking accountability and trying to get back to the left. However, my body dysmorphia tells me I look way more then 12 pounds heavier.
I feel like I looked when I did when I was 200+ pounds. I’ve become very wide in my eyes and really want to lose the hip area. Will a calorie deficit help with that? Or is that more weight training related? I just look SO wide and it’s driving my mind crazy and I know I can’t spot reduce fat. But I fear a calorie deficit won’t be enough because it looks more than just a ten pound difference
From 205 to 155 lbs, I achieved my goal weight with gym sessions. Now at 167 lbs due to a break from the gym and poor eating. Taking accountability, but body dysmorphia makes me feel much heavier. I want to shed the hip area. Will a calorie deficit help, or is it more about weight training? Feeling wider than my weight suggests, and it's challenging my mindset.
