Hi! I'm new to lifting this year and have been trying to find my footing, but am still a little lost on where I want to go. What I do know that is that (at this point) I do not want to track my food/macros.
I understand that for lifting diet plays a huge role, and maybe at some point I will get more into that part, but not now. My question is without that part, am I wasting my time? I'd really like to hear from those that aren't doing any sort of food tracking. (I do try to eat relatively "well".)

Before & after pics from my 70lb weight loss. Started Jan 2023, goal weight Aug 2023, and have maintained last 12 months.
In 2023 I was only doing cardio (zumba and walking), had a calf injury Christmas, so this year I only walk and started lifting in February.
