Never Too Late: My Journey to Health and Strength at 50 - I lost 95 pounds

Never Too Late: My Journey to Health and Strength at 50 - I lost 95 pounds

I was 49, and now I’m 50. Over the past 15 months, I lost 95 pounds, which has been a transformative experience for me. The second picture I often show was taken just last week at the start of my half marathon, which I completed in 2 hours and 23 minutes. That’s something I’m incredibly proud of because it symbolizes how far I’ve come, not just in terms of weight loss, but in reclaiming my health and strength.

There were times along the way when I wondered if it was too late to make real changes or see the results I wanted. But I kept reminding myself that age doesn’t define what I’m capable of. The truth is, it’s never too late to take control of your life and set new goals. Whether it’s losing weight, running a race, or just feeling better in your own skin, we can all accomplish amazing things with consistency and patience.

I didn’t do it overnight, and it wasn’t always easy, but each step I took brought me closer to where I wanted to be. And now, at 50, I feel stronger and more empowered than ever. So if you’re out there thinking that it’s too late to start, or that the road is too long—believe me, it’s not. You can do it, too. Keep going, because the journey is worth it.
