My Weight Loss Journey, I was over 365 lbs

My Weight Loss Journey, I was over 365 lbs

In 2021, I hit my heaviest weight and lowest point physically and emotionally. I was over 365 lbs, struggling with my health, self-esteem, and the overwhelming feeling that I’d never turn it around. Looking at that photo now is surreal—it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much strength it took to get here.

Fast forward to today: I’ve lost over 100 lbs through a combination of bariatric surgery, lifestyle changes, weightlifting, cardio, and sheer determination. It’s been a slow, steady process filled with challenges, victories, and learning moments. I’ve faced metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, menopause, and injuries along the way, but I’ve also discovered a side of myself I didn’t know existed—someone resilient, disciplined, and capable.

This transformation hasn’t just been about weight loss; it’s been about finding me again. I’m proud to say I’ve stepped into a healthier, more active life, embracing lifting, walking, and pushing my limits. I’ve completed a half marathon, rebuilt muscle, and reached milestones like "onederland" (under 200 lbs), something I hadn’t seen in decades.

The journey is far from over—I’m still working toward my goal weight and constantly striving to improve. But this photo reminds me that progress is possible, even when it feels impossible. If you’re on a similar journey, know that every small step counts. Trust the process, be patient with yourself, and don’t give up. You’re stronger than you think! 💪🏼
