The primary causes of overtraining during bodybuilding are:

1.   When too many sets of cardio and weight training are performed on too many days every week at very high intensity.

2.   Sometimes too many sets of low intensity workouts performed many days in a week also leads to overtraining of muscles.


3.   Even training with the right sets, but with too much intensity leads to overtraining.

4.   Carrying out workouts with the same group of muscles leads to their overtraining of those muscles and a general body fatigue.
