Weight loss, Listen to your body
As you can see I've made some changes. On my birthday in 2010 I was just DONE. I was unhealthy, and weighted down with self hatred and the almost 200 lbs on my 5' 3" frame. I had no idea where to start, so rather than making big goals, week one consisted of just a promise to myself to eat breakfast and walk for a 1/2 hour. After joining a gym I did what I thought I was supposed to do and did nothing...but...cardio! I got way skinny and felt exhausted and awful. Lifting was a game changer. I learned the importance of eating more, I gained weight, and over time lifted heavier and began feeling stronger than I ever have.

That's the cliff notes version! Fast forward to now, I just turned 50, and well, i can feel my body wanting to BE 50. That's not happening! So, I've changed things up yet again and about three weeks ago I began boxing. I'm hoping scorch some of the fluff that is trying to stick around.

If you're just starting out it may seem overwhelming and impossible. I'm here to tell you that it IS possible!! Be kind to yourself. It's going to take time so don't fall for any of those BS quick fix shortcuts. Crush through those plateaus. Ask questions and learn. Listen to your body. And...ignore the haters & the critics! You got this. We got this!! 💪😊
