Fitness mom Emma Williams shed a massive 50lbs and completely reshaped her physique to become a stunning hardbody NPC Fitness athlete.
The 33-year-old mother piled on the pounds after giving birth to her second son and quit training for three years.
But she regained her focus and determination and decided to do something about it.
Cue a year of super-disciplined hard work in the gym and the slow but steady re-creation of her fabulous fitness physique.
Now Emma is just 12 weeks out from the Kentucky Muscle 2013 fitness show in November and has set her sights on a Pro card.
Despite the three year 'baby-break' Emma is no stranger to pumping iron – she actually started training 17 years ago.
Like many other women she hit the gym and embarked on a simple 'cardio and weights' fitness regime, but it was not until she attended her first bodybuilding show - the Arnold Classic in Columbus Ohio in 1999 - that her life (and training) really changed.
Watching stars like Susie Currie (who won the Ms Fitness International at that show) Emma Williams was inspired.
The Japan-born Texan said: “I was intrigued by the fitness competitors and I said I want that!
“I had been working out for three years but this was the first time I actually thought I really want to do this!”
It's been a lifelong journey for Emma, and like thousands of other women, the dream sometimes gets put on the back burner while life (and kids!) take over for a bit.
But she has never lost the hunger and we at realfemalebodybuilding.com wish her the very best of the Kentucky Muscle show.
