Muscle athlete Nina Simone Ross has made history by winning the tall bikini class at the 2013 UKBFF British Championships just one year after taking the women's bodyfitness title.
It is the first time a woman competitor has won two different classes in successive years and a huge achievement.
The extraordinary Manchester-born competitor defeated defending champion Melissa Haywood in the tall bikini fitness class on the opening day of the national finals in Harrogate.
Ross, last year’s bodyfitness champion, shrieked with delight when it was announced she had beaten close friend Haywood.
It was a good decision – both girls prep looked inch-perfect but Ross just edged it on her overall gorgeous shape and impeccable presentation to take this huge class of 40 beautifully honed athletes.

In the short bikini class Anita Bekus, runner-up last year, beat fellow international competitor Nikki Jenkins while Eszter Pati got a little leaner this year to show her amazing genetics to best effect and was rewarded with the tall bodyfitness title.
Slovakian-born personal trainer Karolina Botkova was an equally stunning champion in the short class.
The veteran competitor Irina Cotton won her FOURTH British fitness title one month before her 54th birthday.
Cotton suffered a serious ankle injury seven months ago yet here she was beating defending champion Cee Oliver for first place. Cotton remains undefeated in the UK.
Ross said: “I have to say this is the most exciting comp I've done to date. The girls I'm sharing the stage with are the best in the UK and farther afield! I'm so proud to be on stage just to enjoy the moment and bring a big smile and to have a laugh backstage.”
