Female Bodybuilding: Problems and Solutions

Women, despite of their low capabilities of developing large amounts of muscle mass rapidly, have been participating in female bodybuilding and have developed attractive bodies.

But, beginners in the field of female bodybuilding face numerous problems. The primary causes for these problems are:

  1.     Women should workout with low resistance.
  2.     Reducing the intake of calories helps in female bodybuilding.
  3.     Myths about natural supplements.
  4.     All female bodybuilders use steroids.

Myth 1- Women should workout with low resistance.

Fact: The secret of building well-developed muscles begins with breaking down your muscles via weight training so the muscles can form a stronger and denser unit. For this you need to train them hard using heavy weights in a low rep range.

Myth 2-Reducing the intake of calories helps in female bodybuilding.

Fact: The fact is that during the process of muscle building, females need to be properly fed. Their daily diet should contain rich quantities of lean proteins, vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Try to avoid excessive intake of fats and carbs, but never commit the mistake of counting on calories

Myth 3- Myths about natural supplements.

Fact: Supplementing your diet with natural supplements and sports nutrition products can be helpful in building muscle and losing body fat.  Today’s food supply is greatly depleted of nutrients and supplementing with a quality vitamin/mineral, as well as glutamine, creatine, and protein can dramatically boost your performance and results.

Myth 4- All female bodybuilders use steroids.

Fact: Some of the high-ranked competitive women use steroids for building huge muscle masses; however the entire sport of bodybuilding is not based on the use of steroids.  Many female bodybuilders compete naturally with the use of natural supplements and sports nutrition products sold in health food stores and online.
