Best female bodybuilders Jackie Hague has given femalebodybuilders24.com an insight into what it's really like in the back stage pump room minutes before showtime.
After years in the gym and around four months on a physically and mentally gruelling ultra-strict competition diet Jackie's shows her just minutes away from the moment of truth – flexing at the UKBFF North West Qualifier, on 5 May 2013, at Parr Hall, Warrington, England.
The 35-year-old mother of two, who is currently preparing for the 2013 UKBFF British Championships in Harrogate on October 19 said: “The is backstage at Parr Hall in Warrington where I had to show I was good enough to get through to the finals in Harrogate International Centre on October 19.
“Show prep is hard work, hard training, and hard dieting, and all done around having a family to take care of, but the transformation and the end goal makes it all worth it.
“I love the atmosphere of a show especially backstage where the final prep takes place before stepping onstage.
“You pump up to get the muscles as full as possible to show your physique off in all its glory!”
Muscle mom Jackie, has been bodybuilding for just three years but has built one of the most beautifully balanced and muscular show-winning physiques in the country.
She said: “My husband encouraged me to start training and I am so I'm pleased I made myself do it, I know I would have regretted not doing it.
“I've been onstage in front of an audience and judges which I never thought I would ever be able to do and loved every second of it!”
