Melanie Wiggins and Rebecca Andrades keep womens bodybuilding alive – NPC Jr USA Results :

Melanie Wiggins and Rebecca Andrades showed the very best of women's bodybuilding at the 2013 NPC Jr USA's this weekend

The flame-haired and heavily-tattooed Rebecca eventually took the top honors but the judging was incredibly close.

Both women were fabulously presented – Rebecca with a glowing tan and beaming smile which complimented her huge delts, tight waist and incredible biceps.

Heavyweight contender Melanie was also in amazing shape, packing some serious muscle and projecting a huge presence on stage.

Her quads in particular were huge, cut, and beautifully-shaped, but they were balanced by a huge back and impressive lat-spread.

In the end Rebecca probably had the edge condition-wise – but both girls are set to go on to big things in the sport.

It was disappointing to see only two women enter the bodybuilding category but perhaps indicative of the pressure towards Physique competition.

There were 26 girls in the physique competition (though just six in the fitness category).

The vasy majority of women athletes competed in the Bikini (118) and the Figure (109) catgories.
