Teenage female bodybuilder Brittany Bettile finds TV fame after winning powerlifting competition in Brazil

Teenage female bodybuilder Brittany Bettile was interviewed on Brazilian TV after out-muscling the competition at a powerlifting meet with a deadlift of almost 300lbs.

The bodybuilding teenager from Ohio is on a Rotary exchange visit to the country but is keen to maintain focus on her bodybuilding and lifting and was delighted to find a powerlifting competition to enter.

The 134lb, 18-year-old, drew wild cheers from the appreciative crowd as she powered her way through heavy bench presses and deadlifts to take the title in Sao Jose dos Campos.

She said: “I had a fantastic weekend! I went the the beach and then to a lifting competition and got interviewed by the local news station.

“In my deadlift I maxed at 295 lbs.”

Brittany, who is already a female bodybuilding champion, has 14 inch biceps despite only picking up her first weight 18 months ago at the tender age of 16!

She turned to bodybuilding in February 2012 after being a High School cheerleader.

Brittany said: “ I started out to keep fit and to do something for myself outside of school which keeps me occupied.

“But on my second day at the gym a pro approached to train me and I was really happy.

“I weighed 122lbs when I started but muscled-up to 134lbs. My biceps got two inches bigger, they are easily 14 inches when I am pumped. I really like the way my biceps have grown.”
