I was on vacation for 2 weeks and I shared plates with my husband (whatever he wanted to eat) so I did not restrict nor hold back on eating foods I or he enjoyed. I decided to not weigh myself those two weeks and just be present. I gave myself grace and reminded myself that I can always lose weight but I can never fully recreate a moment in time with my family.
But to my utter surprise at the end of my 2 weeks I ended up losing 6 pounds. Granted we did a lot of walking at Disney World. But I’m happy to have made those fun memories and not have the ones of me stressing over what I eat or how many calories I burn. I’ve lost a total of 40 lbs so far since the end of September and hoping to lose 30 more.
