Four years ago, I decided it was time to get into shape. I had picked up roller skating heavily and wanted to be able to keep up with my active hobbies. I started my journey at 240 pounds and set my sights on reaching a goal weight of 160 pounds.
Throughout this time, I have gone up and down in weight and faced plateaus, but I never gave up. Today, I'm proud to say that I'm 20 pounds away from my goal, currently weighing in at 180 pounds. It's been a long journey with many ups and downs, but every step has been worth it.

One thing I've learned is that this isn't a race. It’s important to be patient and kind to yourself along the way. Progress may be slow, and there will be times when it feels like you're not moving forward, but perseverance is key. Celebrate every small victory and understand that setbacks are a natural part of the process.
I want to encourage anyone who is on a similar journey to keep going. Find joy in the activities you love, like I did with roller skating. Stay committed to your goals, but also allow yourself grace. Remember, it's not just about the number on the scale but about feeling healthy and strong in your body.
Keep pushing forward, stay positive, and most importantly, be kind to yourself. You've got this!
