I’ve lost 100 lbs and did it naturally
I’ve lost 100 lbs and did it naturally. Let me tell you it is possible! I’m 5’8” and starting weight was 240 lbs and current weight 140 lbs. I started with small goals... first goal was to get under 200 lbs. Next goal was 178 lbs (Bc that was the smallest I got the last time I tried to lose), then a goal of 160 lbs and then 140 lbs. I hit 100 lbs lost in March 2020. This was one of the hardest journeys I’ve been on, but I did it and so can you. I did it while chronically ill and my illness actually caused weight gain and made losing much more difficult.

What worked for me? Calorie deficit. Calorie deficit. Let me say it one more time calorie deficit! Tracking what I ate and weighing and logging all my food. I tried to eat fewer carbs, but I was in no way keto or low carb. I believe in everything in moderation and smaller portions.

It worked for me and I’m keeping the weight off. I believe fad diets will only result in yo-yo dieting, bc for me they did. Depriving yourself long term does not work. I tried to eat better 80% of the time and 20% I ate what I wanted but smaller portions.

I’ve been where you are and I know how hard it is. Whatever you do just keep going, even if you mess up. Don’t stop until you get to your goal. I messed up 100x, but I always kept going and look at me now! Make yourself accountable. What keeps me accountable since I’m single and live alone? I’ve been documenting my progress and journey on Instagram and it’s really helped me stay accountable. Find what makes you accountable and know that you can do this. Just don’t stop. Keep going!
