One of the most important parts of your body is to work out your legs. This stimulates the hormones in your body because they're one of the largest body parts you have.

Now don't get me wrong, it's important to do work on your upper body too. But it's even more important to let your body know that you'll be calling the shots. Make it work hard by working out your biggest muscles with intensity so the rest of your body is stimulated to grow too.

This weight lifting plan for your legs can be done once a week so you do not distract from your overall body training



    Week A:
    - Squats!! Perform 2 sets of 10 repetitions. This exercise is a top notch bodybuilding exercise. Works several muscles and is great for you legs, and as a plus helps you concerning hips and buttocks too.
    - Lunges: perform 2 sets of 6 resistance demanding reps.
    - Leg extensions should take 2 sets of 6 reps. Add resistance for more efficacy.
    - Finally, perform 2 sets of 5 repetitions of standing calf raises and same amount of seated calves raises too.

    Week B:
    - Perform squats and lunges as in week A. Maintain your calves raises as well but instead of your leg extensions do 2 sets of leg curls of 6 heavy leg curls and 2 sets of 6 reps of toe presses.
    - Train one week plan A, next week plan B, then repeat, A,B, A, B.

You can alter the order of these exercises as long as you perform them all. Always try to utilize a demanding weight to force your muscles to adapt to the resistance and grow. The idea is to lift as much as you can, with intensity. The reason for low repetitions is to achieve strength and size. If the goal of this legs weight lifting plan were just to tone them we would suggest more reps with lower resistance, but the aim here is to define and increase the volume.
