For the squat performed to be fully effective, Fitnext gives you the instructions for use: first, stand up (with a spread of legs corresponding to the width of the shoulders) and arms outstretched. Make sure your feet are on the same line. Asymmetry could lead to lumbar imbalance and back pain. Then, inhale and descend until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Then go back up while exhaling and relaxing your arms.


Attention, it is very important to control the descent by slowing it down slightly and accelerate the concentric phase of the lift by pressing on the heels. Throughout the exercise, be sure to keep your back slightly arched and your chest out, but do not round your back and do not lean forward. Your center of gravity must be back, between your heels that should never take off the ground.
