Effective Ab Workouts You Can Do While Watching TV

Doing ab workouts at home also means that you can watch your favourite TV shows or drama while working out. Although many bodybuilders claimed that television is a big distraction, we should make ab workouts more fun and enjoyable so that we will not get bored easily. We will be looking at two ab exercises which you can perform them while watching TV. When you are done with an episode, you might have already completed all your sets without realizing it.

Firstly, the Shoulder Bridge trains your abdominal and back muscles. Keep your feet hip-width apart. Your heels should be directly under your knees, you arms to your side. Pull your navel towards your spine and, without arching your back, lift your hips towards the ceiling. Your body should form a straight, slanted line from your knees to your chest.

1 - Lie down on your back with your knees bent and yohur arms to the side. Press with your heels to lift yourself into the bridge or ramp position.
2 - Keep your neck relaxed and your back straight.

Hold the bridge position for three seconds. Add two sets per week until you can perform ten sets of three-second repetitions continuously. Your neck and shoulders should be straight. Imagine you have an apple between your chin and your chest. At first, rest as long as you need between sets. As you get stronger and develop more endurance, decrease the rest time between sets. Be sure to breathe normally during each repetition. If you prefer, you may exhale during the repetition. Keep your hips elevated and level throughout the duration of the exercise.

Secondly, the Roll Up trains your abdominal muscles as well. This is a fun exercise you can do with your kids (if you have any). It is relatively easy compared to the previous one so you may want to perform more than ten repetitions if you wish. It's a great warm up or cool-down exercise for your abs.

1 - Lie on your back with your knees tucked into your chest.
2 - Wrap your arms around your legs
3 - Begin rolling back and forth.

Roll as slowly as you can, maintain three seconds in both directions to minimize your momentum. Make sure that you can roll up on a mat or thick carpet to protect your spine. Keep your chin tucked in to your chest and be careful not to roll too far in either direction.

For every exercise you do for your stomach, you should do two for you back. Fortunately, these two exercises train your back as well as you stomach so that you will maintain perfect balance and symmetry.

Do you find it frustrating to achieve your desired body? It doesn't mean that if you train your body harder, you will develop muscles quicker. To summarize, bodybuilding is all about science!
