Bodybuilding motivation
When you pick up a magazine or turn on the TV, you’re bombarded with images of men and women with chiseled features and bulging muscles. It’s hard not to be inspired by the people on the screen, but what are the secrets behind their bodies? The answer, of course, is fitness. You need to exercise to get into great shape, and you can’t expect to look like a bodybuilder without putting in the hard work.

The hardest part of any workout is the moment when the muscles are screaming for more, but the most rewarding part is the feeling of accomplishment when the muscles have been strengthened enough to keep going. The same goes for bodybuilding. The biggest, leanest muscles in the world are only achieved after hours and hours of consistent training, but the feeling of seeing progress is powerful. No matter what your goal is, whether it’s to get a little more definition or build more strength, being a bodybuilder is motivating.


I want to be the best bodybuilder in the world. I’m obsessed with the sport of bodybuilding. I’ve been lifting weights since I was a teenager. I’ve competed in bodybuilding competitions, but I never felt like I was on that next level of greatness.

The best bodybuilders in the world aren’t born that way. They’re made that way through the years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. They train intensely, eat clean, and make a point to rest up. They work toward their goal with a single-mindedness that can be intimidating.

Intense training and dieting can be extremely motivating for those wanting to build muscle. However, for some, the obsession can begin to feel suffocating. Luckily, there are ways to keep the drive going even when the gym is a distant memory. I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite books, blogs and podcasts to help keep that muscle-building motivation going.
