5 Myths About Weight Lifting :

You might be working out in the gym everyday for a long time, and yet have noticed no change in your body at all. In fact you might still be that wimpy little nerd with no life.

But why?

I mean, you've been working out for months, or even years, but you still can't get the muscles, self esteem or a life. It's either because you are doing something wrong, or not working yourself hard enough. Most likely, you are doing something wrong.

Most people don't work out the right way. There are a lot of myths about bodybuilding out there. Perhaps they are the reason that you aren't gaining enough muscle. Here are the top five myths about bodybuilding:

1 - Eating more builds more muscle - This is one of the dirtiest lies out there. On the contrary, it makes you gain fat.Bodybuilders are not the healthiest people in the world. In fact they are in horrible health. Some have hypertension, some have heart problems, all because the eat much more than they need. You should only eat whatever your body needs.

2 - Training like a bodybuilder makes you a bodybuilder - Another horrible lie. This is one of the most dangerous things you can do to yourself. You mostly likely will get injured, or become ill. An average person does not have the capability to stuff like the pros. That's just how it is.

3 - Steroids Help - Steroids do not help. No matter how much you've had that feeling that you need steroids, don't go there. Steroids are way too dangerous to use. They have too many adverse side effects such as heart disease, stroke, undesirable features in both men and women, and steroid users are more likely to use contaminated needles and giving themselves HIV.

4 - If you don't work out for a long time, your muscles will turn into fat - This is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard. Muscle is composed of single living cells. How would they transform into unwanted organic matter? It's impossible. Instead of turning into fat, they will just shrink. That's all.

5 - You need steroids or supplements to get lean muscle - This is one of the things that the bodybuilding industry has lied to you about. If you lack some vitamins and minerals, then you do need supplements, but if your body does not need any of this stuff, don't use them. You can still build muscle without any supplements.
