Weight loss: Journey to Onederland. A Story of Perseverance and Patience

Weight loss: Journey to Onederland. A Story of Perseverance and Patience

I made it to onederland last week. It’s been a long journey over several years to make it there. I’ve done some of it through lifestyle changes, having RNY two years ago, and with Zepbound.

I have metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance in addition to being in menopause. I lose weight verrrrrry slowly. But I stuck to it, and eventually, the weight releases.

Sometimes I wish I could have lost it all in six months. But I’m a little over two years out, and I’d like to take another 30 off.

My highest weight was over 365 lbs. I got to 300 with lifestyle changes, 228 with RNY, and to 197 with Zepbound.

I will be 59 in July, so getting into onederland was a huge moment. I haven’t been there in 38 years.

For you slow losers, just have faith you will get there eventually. Having patience and not giving up is one of the hardest parts of the journey.

Stay strong and keep believing in yourself. Your goals are within reach, no matter how long it takes.
