From Plus-Size to Proud: Seeing My Progress in the Change Room

From Plus-Size to Proud: Seeing My Progress in the Change Room

I've been struggling lately, feeling like I'm not making enough progress on my weight loss journey. But today, something really clicked for me. I went shopping at Reitmans, and as I was trying on clothes, I couldn't help but think back to last summer when I was in that same change room. The difference was shocking! Last summer, I was still shopping in the plus-size section, but today, I was able to shop in regular stores that don’t even carry plus sizes. That’s a huge milestone for me!

I tried on a bunch of clothes, and guess what? A lot of what I bought was just a regular old XL. It felt incredible. There’s something so satisfying about picking out clothes off the rack and not having to worry if they’ll fit. I’ve lost around 64 lbs recently, and even though it doesn’t always feel like it day to day, comparing those change room pics from last summer to now really put it into perspective. I’ve made so much progress, and I’m finally starting to see it. It’s moments like these that remind me why I started this journey and why I have to keep going. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for what’s ahead! 😊
