How to Lose 20 Pounds in Three Weeks
Well it is that time of year again, the warm weather is back. This means it is time to get back in shape and shed some of those winter pounds. Where do I even start may be the question for some. Well, it is actually pretty easy to do by following a few simple steps.

The first step to take is changing your diet, and yes, that means giving up some of the foods you love to indulge in. The next step is to exercise regularly. With these two steps followed, no matter your body type, you can lose 20 pounds in three weeks.

Eating right is just as important as exercising; both must be accomplished in order to lose weight. I started a diet, and easily lost 20 pounds in three weeks thanks to the proper diet and exercise. To lose weight in this time frame you must become disciplined to reach your goal which means cutting out much of the current foods you consume. Over time your stomach will begin to shrink causing you to have less of an appetite. The hardest part is the first week or so, but after that your body begins to adjust to your daily meals. Start by eating six small meals each day. It sounds like a lot, but really it is not. It is better to eat small portions throughout the day every few hours than three big meals throughout the day. Meal one should consist of egg whites, one pack of regular oatmeal with no sugar, and a half banana. Meal two through four should consist of 4 ounces of chicken, and a half sweet potato. Meal five and six should consist of 4 ounces of chicken and broccoli. Only drink water so your body doesn't take in the unnecessary sugars and calories sports drinks, juices, and sodas give you.

The diet will not work properly without exercising. If you have a gym membership, you should do cardio as well as lift weights. Lifting weights along with cardio will help you build muscle. I know you may be saying I don't want muscle; I am trying to lose weight. However, building muscle is good for your body and it will not be the bodybuilder type of muscle you may be thinking of. If you really want to lose the weight, you should do some form of cardio four to five times per week. Whether that is running, walking, biking, swimming, or any other type of cardio, it is important to do something. Lifting weights may include working out your legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, and abs using light weight and high repetitions. Doing ab exercises three to five times each week will help you lose that unnecessary weight. This will shock your body and staying this active will cause you to begin seeing the weight come off. If you do not have a gym membership, you can still run, walk, bike, swim, or do any other type of cardio. You can also do ab exercises and do push-ups, squats with no weights, and any other creative exercise that comes to mind.

Whether male or female, young or old, overweight or average body size, anyone can lose 20 pounds in three weeks with this diet and exercise. You will be surprised at the results you start to see just by healthy eating and exercising regularly. You will be able to show off your body just in time for the warm weather months.
