The secret to training to get lean muscle and strength comes through these main areas that need to be incorporated into your exercise routine.

This is what needs to be in each exercise you undertake:

Intensity

The amount and rate that you do them at

And keep aiming to do an extra 1 each time (Monday 10, Tuesday 11, Friday 14 etc)

The best way to look at the above three areas is like this. Intensity you push as far as you can go in your current condition.

This will also have a knock effect to the amount you do, and then the third one is just go for that one extra each time to push yourself.

The more you do that, the more you will keep going towards your goal.

Unfortunately most weight training routines are done far too long and done too many times in a week compared to what you really need.

This is just the same with other exercises like aerobic ones for example. Again they are done too much and with not enough intensity as mentioned before.

What you have to remember is that weight training being done at a low or moderate pace with no intensity or purpose behind it, will not give you lean muscle you crave for.



Then again if you were to perform your exercises, sets, and routines at a higher level of intensity you will keep seeing a level of improvement and your body would then become a fat burning machine.

Now you can understand the need for intensity in your workouts but you also need to take other things into account too. You need to make sure you also rest after doing these intense workouts.

So that means not going to gym everyday because you do not need to. The main thing regarding rest is that you do need your rest to help your muscle grow.

When you train properly you are tearing your muscles slightly and then when you rest your body and muscles heal themselves. While healing they gain a little bit more muscle mass.

This is why you need to have a good workout at an intense rate and then rest to see the benefits.

Now you know that by adding muscle you can help your body burn fat quicker, but some people especially women start to think they may increase size and do not want to.

Women do not have to worry as the intense workouts burn your fat for you and you are replacing fat with toned muscle. Most men and women will not increase muscle so it makes them have a bulky appearance because they do not have the generic traits in there body.

The bodybuilders you see in magazines etc. are normally on anabolic steroids and other drugs to get them to that size. What will happen when you work out, you will lose your body fat and gain lean muscle.

Basically lose weight and look good.

If you want to lose weight and have a healthy life, by doing an intense exercise routine you are helping yourself succeed with your fat loss targets and giving yourself every chance of keeping the weight off and looking good too.

Just stick to the three points above and you will be very happy with your results that you obtained and have a healthy lean body for years to come.
