Weight loss : having a healthy relationship with food and exercise

Weight loss : having a healthy relationship with food and exercise

A little over a year ago I had gained around 40 pounds in less then 4 months, I immediately thought hormones were the cause and that there would be nothing I could do to help me get back to a healthy weight. I did internet searches, and ended up wasting money on fat burners that did nothing for my weight, but only make me feel like I drank too much coffee. Hormonal issues and imbalances are very real and can make you feel like there is nothing that can be done to help prevent weight gain.

I learned that as we get older our hormone balance shifts in ways that can promote unwanted weight gain and those changes can slow down your metabolism and lead to extra weight gain. Looking back at where I was a year ago, I would tell myself to not feel like theres no hope to get the body you want, to get help if you don't know where to start, and don't waste money on fat burners expecting results that are only attainable through having a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

For some, hormonal issues can arise in the teens or 20's, and your body definitely changes as you age. That weight gain for me happened so fast as soon as I turned 32, and I had to realize that its possible to make a change. If you're wanting to make a change in your life, don't feel like it's not achievable. It's 💯 possible to reach your goals if you want it bad enough.
