Circuit Training:

Circuit training is a type of interval training, where strength training and cardiovascular training are combined in the workout. A good circuit training routine will have jumping, push ups, squats, free weight lifting, spinning, and each station or module will take around 45 seconds to 90 seconds.

Pros of Circuit Training:

  •     Great way for beginners to start and gain familiarity with exercising
  •     Can be easily performed without any major gym equipment
  •     Can be tailored to fit each person's needs and requirements




Cons of Circuit Training:

  •     May not be ideal for seasoned trainers


Circuit training is getting a well deserved attention since it inherits the good qualities of two other very popular training methods. While the cardio aspect of it is attracting the weight loss seekers due to high fat burn ratios, its strength training related qualities are very affective in shaping up the body without putting on bulky muscle mass.
