Body Fat Guidelines :

Measuring your body fat percentage gives you a much better accurate representation of how much fat you've actually lost. In general, anything over 25% is considered somewhat above average. Anything around 15% is average and in pretty good shape. And anything below that is a pretty low measure of body fat.


We all need body fat to survive. It keeps us healthy and provides strength when we are sick. Because of this, anything around 5% or less is actually unhealthy and often dangerous.

The percentages differ from males to females. Females, in general, have a higher body fat percentage than males. Because of this, a healthy percentage range for females will be slightly increased than that for males.
