Normally bodybuilder Susanna Hand prefers to fly under the radar, getting on with the job of building muscle and letting her fabulous physique speak for itself.

But on July 27 2013 all that is very much set to change because we guarantee this lady is going to bring the noise to the NPC USA 's in Vegas.

She is just THAT good.

Her muscular development and physique transformation is nothing short of breathtaking – our lead picture shows a decidedly skinny Susanna Hand in 2007 and a fabulously-muscled female bodybuilding star-in-waiting six years later.

Now, just a week before the snappily titled NPC USA Bodybuilding, Figure, Bikini and Men’s & Women’s Physique Championships, on July 27-28 in Las Vegas, Nevada – the 'USA's' to you and me - we are absolutely delighted that Susanna has broken off from her intense pre-comp training to talk to FemaleBodybuilders24.com.

The 33-year-old is in clearly love with the sport and indeed the last four years of pumping iron and disciplined dieting have been leading up to the Vegas stage, but Susanna remains realistic

She says: “I’m anxious and excited to get on stage and showcase my finished product.

“Of course we all want to win, but I have no control over the judges or who shows up, so my goal is to bring the best me possible to Vegas and show the judges how well my 5’3 frame can carry 150+lbs without compromising femininity or aesthetics.”

And while the rest of the female bodybuilding world seems destined to be forced into physique contests Susanna is adamant that she is a bodybuilding purist. She can certainly shift the weights too – easily squatting 400lbs + and benching 225lbs for reps.

She says: “My structure is best suited for bodybuilding and I enjoy getting shredded. I understand it’s not mainstream, but if I’m going to bust my ass I want to stand out even when covered up.

“I embrace the journey and revel in the mental discipline required to achieve such extreme results.”

In the 2012 NPC USA Championships Susanna came in a very creditable 9th place.

We confidently predict this years seriously conditioned Susanna is set to make a serious bid for the top slots and of course wish her every success on Friday.
