Social media can sabotage your progress in the gym ! :

Check your social media in the gym
Don't do this to me! This reinforces the belief that you need people to know that you are in the room, to make it count. Your training should never depend on external validation. Why? Why? Because otherwise it won't last. If you're a real strength exercise practitioner, you don't need that.
If I come into the room, check my Facebook, take 20 minutes to get dressed and then make 20 crunchs, what have I accomplished? Nothing. This trend leads to the mindset of "it's better than nothing. "Although this may be valid if you are sedentary and obese, it is not the way a weight-training practitioner should think.


Practitioners have an objective. They go to the gym for a specific reason and they train for it. Showing yourself is not the goal of experienced practitioners, and you will not become one if you only come to the room because "doing something is better than nothing. »

If you get to work seriously, people will know that you went to the room, whether you posted it or not. Let your results speak for themselves. And, no, you "inspire" no one. You just flatter yourself by annoying your friends. In fact, they have probably already silenced your account.
