17.5” biceps and freaky huge back – is supermassive female bodybuilder Giada Franchi 'too muscular to win big'? :

ITALIAN muscle monster Giada Franchi had the crowd at the NAC Worlds on their feet as she flexed her massive 17.5” arms.

With freaky traps and cantaloupe delts which would not have looked out of place on the men's stage – when it cam to pure female muscle Giada Franchi was the benchmark.

However, when it came to scoring the judges clearly didn't agree and the 5ft 6ins 180lbs bodybuilder didn't even make the top 10.

In first and second place at the 2012 NAC Worlds were the incredibly muscular Monia Gioiosa and Desiree Dümpel, also a big girl.

So why was Giada ignored?

Critics have said she needs to work on her posing, which is a little clunky and unorthodox.

But she is nevertheless a superb female bodybuilder and deserves to place higher.
