Flexibility exercises are designed to enhance the flexibility of the body. This type of exercise is performed to enhance the movements of muscles and joints. A famous example of this type of exercise is stretching, which is the routine that you usually do at the beginning and end of your workout regimen to stay away from severe muscle stiffness and joint pain.



Used as a warm-up and cooling-down exercise, stretching is indeed invaluable in every workout. Your muscles and joints are all worked up after an intense workout or strength training, so it is advised that you flexibility exercises in order to reduce soreness or injuries in the muscles as well as to help them recover fast.
